John Cho appears alongside Kal Penn at "A
Very Harold And Kumar 3D Christmas" Premiere held at the Grauman's
Chinese Theater on Wednesday November 2, 2011.
The stoner holiday
film brings the guys back together on a search for the perfect
replacement Christmas tree in New York City for Harold's father-in-law.
The duo runs into a few old friends, like Neil Patrick Harris, along the
way.
Speaking at the film's Los Angeles premiere, John revealed:
"We've got a lot more of everything this time around, and all the
familiars - Harold and Kumar are back, Neil Patrick Harris is back, but
it's a legitimate Christmas movie...It's sweet but it's got all the
filth you can expect from Harold and Kumar."
Among the various
attendees, Mena Suvari got into the festive spirit as she turned heads
at the premiere and stole the spotlight in a sexy little red and black
Tibi Pirouette Party dress which she teamed with a pair of platform
heels.
Neil Patrick Harris, Jordan Hinson, Danny Trejo, Jason
Biggs, and Chris Klein were among the night's celebrities at the event.

Mickey Rourke honored in Hollywood

Mickey Rourke, whose film career was revitalized thanks to Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" in 2008, had his hand and footprints immortalized on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
He's the 254th
celebrity honoree to be given a spot at the courtyard of the Chinese
Theatre, an honor that dates back to 1927 when film star Norma Talmadge
accidentally stepped into wet concrete. Variations of this honored
tradition are imprints of the eye glasses of Harold Lloyd, the cigar of
Groucho Marx, the magic wands of Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe,
Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, the legs of Betty Grable, the fist of John
Wayne, the knees of Al Jolson, the ice skating blades of Sonja Henie,
and the noses of Jimmy Durante and Bob Hope.
During the ceremony
Eric Roberts and filmmaker Jon Favreau were on-hand for the event and
spoke highly of Rourke. Afterwards, Mickey Rourke gave plenty of thanks
to his boxing friends, the many people who helped him maintain the film
career he's had over the years, and his dearly loved grandmother who
first properly introduced him to the world of film.

Rourke can be seen in the visually-stunning 3D epic adventure "Immortals",
starring Henry Cavill, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, Isabel Lucas, Freida
Pinto, Stephen Dorff, and John Hurt. Directed by Tarsem Singh, written

Nunnari, Mark Canton and Relativity’s CEO RyanKavanaugh, Immortals tells
the story of the ruthless King Hyperion (Rourke), who leads his

the fate of mankind and the Gods at Stake. The film will be released by

Kitty Softpaws (AKA Salma Hayek) has been hitting the worldwide promotional
trail over the past few weeks - and Sunday, October 23, 2011, Salma
stepped out for the red carpet premiere of “Puss in Boots” in Westwood,
CA.
The Oscar-nominated, 45-year-old actress, who was joined on
the red carpet by her four year old daughter, Valentina and fellow
cast mates Antonio Banderas, Zach Galifianakis, Constance Marie, Amy
Sedaris and Billy Bob Thornton, greeted the fans lining the entrance at
Regency's Village Theatre wearing a Bottega Veneta dress, Alexander
McQueen clutch, Guiseppe Zanotti shoes, Bottega Veneta ring, and Sydney
Evan earrings.
Along with the cast members, additional attendees
included Travis Barker, Vivica A. Fox, Bella Thorne and Madeline Carroll

At the 25th Annual American Cinematheque
tribute to Robert Downey Jr. friday night, Downey praised his friend
Mel Gibson and said he should be forgiven.
Robert Downey Jr., star of
"Iron Man", accepted the American Cinematheque Award in Beverly Hills on
October 14, 2011 for ...making a significant contribution to the art of
the moving picture" and the actor used his time on stage to ask
Hollywood to forgive Mel Gibson, 55.
"Unless you are without
sin and if you are, you are in the wrong f---king industry you should
forgive him and let him work again," Downey said after Gibson presented
him with the award before a packed ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
During
the presentation ceremony, Gibson talked about being warned about
hiring Downey for "Air America" in 1990 because of Downey's troubled
private life. Downey has always credited Gibson for being the first
person who gave him a job during some of his years battling substance
abuse.

Julianne Hough, the former Dancing With The
Stars regular, walked the red carpet like a Hollywood Veteran, Monday
Night, October 3, 2011, to celebrate her first big movie role in
"Footloose."
The remake revisits the small town of Bomont where
dancing is banned, until a rebellious teen from out of town rolls in and
shakes things up. While Kenny Wormland fills Kevin Bacon's 1984 role as
Ren McCormack, Julianne Hough plays Ariel Moore, originally played by
Lori Singer.
Hough, heated things up with wearing an ultra-chic,
red organza top with a gathered neckline and long, sheer sleeves, and
red high-waisted shorts, all by Tibi. The dancer and actress kept it
simple and classy, opting to only accessorize with nude pumps, gold
earrings and a large gold ring.

Craig Brewer (“Hustle & Flow,” “Black Snake Moan”) delivers a new
take of the beloved 1984 classic film, “Footloose.” Ren MacCormack
(played by newcomer Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the
small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of
culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic
accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont’s local
councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded
by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not
one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the

Buddy Holly honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored
the late Buddy Holly with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on
Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Buddy Holly would have been 75 years old
had he not lost his life in a tragic plane crash on February 3, 1959.
Holly
left a legacy of music for which he was honored on the Hollywood Walk
of Fame. The ceremony, held in front of the Capitol Records building at
1750 N. Vine Street, was attended by his widow Maria Elena Santiago,
Phil Everly of the Everly brothers (close friends of Holly’s and played
many shows together), Peter Asher of Peter and Gordon (were inspired by
Holly from the moment they formed their duo, and made Holly’s “True
Love Ways” a worldwide hit), and actor Gary Busey, (played Holly in "The
Buddy Holly Story." in 1978 and was later nominated for an Academy
Award for his portrayal).
In only 18 months, from when Buddy
Holly and the Crickets hit the charts with their first release, “That’ll
Be The Day,” to when he died in a tragic plane crash, Holly topped the
charts with more than 27 Top 40 hits worldwide, with “That’ll Be The
Day” going to No. 1. Even after his death, Holly went to No. 1 with “It
Doesn’t Matter Anymore.” From rock to country to R&B, Holly’s songs
have charted consistently for more than 50 years, a true testament to
his music and his influence that continues to this day. Brian Wilson
said it simply: “Buddy Holly is unique…his music matters because it is
timeless.”
Holly died on February 3, 1959, often referred to as
“the day the music died.” But even in his short time, Buddy Holly
changed the sound and look of rock 'n' roll forever, leaving a permanent
standard that continues to influence artists all over the world.

- In the movie The Searchers John Wayne’s character repeatedly says, “That’ll Be the Day”. This phrase influenced Buddy to write the hit song of the same name.
- Teenagers Paul McCartney and John Lennon saw Buddy and the Crickets play in Liverpool in March of 1958 and often cited Holly as a primary influence on their music.
- Although his last name is legally “Holley” an early record contract had his name misspelled “Holly” and he continued to use this spelling throughout his career.

Ed O'Neill honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

In celebration of many successful years in entertainment, Ed O’Neill was honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 30th, 2011.
Ed O’Neill is best known for his role as Al Bundy, on FOX Network’s long running sitcom, “Married…With Children.” The role prompted two Golden Globe Award nominations. He is currently seen on the award-winning ABC sitcom “Modern Family” in the role of Jay Pritchett, for which he received Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Fox Home Entertainment will release “Modern Family” Season 2 on Blu-ray and DVD September 20th.
Born to an Irish Catholic family on April 12, in Youngstown, Ohio, O’Neill attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and Youngstown State University. Signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was cut in training camp and worked as a Social Studies teacher before becoming an actor. He has appeared in several movies including “The Bone Collector,” “Little Giants,” “Dutch,” the “Wayne’s World” series, and various films for Pulitzer Prize-winning screenwriter David Mamet including “The Spanish Prisoner,” “Spartan,” and the indie film “Redbelt.”
Besides his roles on “Married…With Children,” and “Modern Family” O’Neill’s television credits include the reincarnation of Sgt. Friends and former co-stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds reunited on the red carpet while Olivia Wilde looked red-hot for the LA premiere of "The Change-Up" held at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Monday, August 1, 2011.
Bullock showed up in a chic black strapless Lanvin jumpsuit with strappy black sandals, gold hoop earrings and a stack of gold bracelets. She was all smiles, posing for pics with Reynolds, her co-star in the 2009 film, "The Proposal."

About the Film:
Growing up together, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they've slowly drifted apart. Stars Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell showed up at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the big event on July 19, 2011, the Los Angeles Premiere of 'Captain America: The First Avenger'. Both were dressed to impress as they worked it for the cameras before heading inside.
Other Marvel stars in attendance included Mr. Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., "Thor's" Chris Hemsworth, who posed with his wife Elsa Pataky, and Samuel L. Jackson. The actors are expected to reprise their respective roles and share the screen with Evans in the highly anticipated superhero-studded movie,"The Avengers".
Fashion Watch:
Vanessa Hudgens showed off her legs (and new haircut) on the red carpet in a gold mini-dress. Hudgen's chopped off her hair for a role as a homeless teen in "Gimme Shelter."
Actress Zoe Saldana also showed off her toned legs in a Balmain Resort 2012 ensemble. The printed bomber jacket gold epaulets was teamed with matching shorts, a simple v-neck white tee and Brian Atwood ‘Pois’ pumps.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. PETA protests at 'Zookeeper' premiere.

Cher, Rosario Dawson and Leslie Bibb hit the premiere of their new film, "Zookeeper", on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.
The comedy, out this Friday, July 8, centers on “a group of zoo animals that decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zookeeper (Kevin James) find love.”
Also in attendance, aside from the 50 or so PETA protestors, were star of the film Kevin James, Ken Jeong, Jon Favreau, Leah Remini and Donnie Walhlberg among others.
Sign wielding PETA group members were protesting the film for alleged cruelty to animals, a claim Sony Pictures and director Frank Coraci have denied.
According to Entertainmnet Weekly, Julia Galleucci, an animal behavior specialist with PETA, wrote,”PETA is calling upon moviegoers to boycott the film in order to send a message to Hollywood that audiences care about what happens to these animals behind the scenes.”
Director Frank Coraci told EW “It doesn’t hamper my good mood or my celebration at all because I am completely secure with what happened on our set and believe we did everything we could to treat the animals well,"
