Robert Rodriguez’s, “Machete,” premiered at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA last night, August 25, 2010. The cast was out in full force (without Lindsay Lohan), arriving down Broadway in lowriders with Jessica Alba leading the way in her metallic gold and black, zigzag Balmain mini dress. Jessica pulled off Balmain’s signature bold shoulder silhouette by pairing it with cut-out boots by Christian Louboutin. She limited her jewelry to Anndra Neen bangles.

Cast member Lindsay Lohan was conspicuous in her absence leaving the promotional duties of the film to her co-stars including Michelle Rodriguez, Danny Trejo, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Electra Avellan and Director Robert Rodriguez. About the film: The highly skilled Federale, Machete, is hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he's about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he's been set up. He barely survives the sniper's bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence. If you hire him to take out the bad guys, make sure the bad guys aren't you! The film opens nationwide September 3, 2010.
