Multiple Emmy Award–winning “Seinfeld” and “The New Adventures of Old
Christine” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus was honored with a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, May 4,2010. This marks the
4,407th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the television category
that the Chamber of Commerce has handed out and is located at 6250
Hollywood Boulevard in front of the W Hotel. The ceremony was
not without it's drama as a slight mishap occurred when it was
discovered that Julia's name was misspelled on the newly placed star
itself. This was noticed just a few hours before the actual ceremony.
Like a true professional, Julia was unfazed and joked about the error to
US Weekly - the Seinfeld actress found the gaffe "hysterical" and
wanted the star kept as it was -- but workmen had chiseled out the
"Luis" and replaced it with a temporary "Louis" for the unveiling. The
star will be replaced with a permanent an corrected version shortly.
Louis-Dreyfus earned worldwide acclaim and recognition for her
portrayal of Elaine Benes in the hit NBC series “Seinfeld.” She received
an Emmy® Award, a Golden Globe Award, five Screen Actors Guild Awards
and four American Comedy Awards during the show’s nine-year run.
Louis-Dreyfus currently stars on CBS’ hit comedy “The New Adventures of
Old Christine.” In 2006, she won an Emmy® for her portrayal of
Christine Campbell and was again nominated in the Outstanding Lead
Actress in a Comedy Series category in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She was also
nominated for a Golden Globe and SAG Award in 2007 and received an
additional SAG Award nomination in 2009. Created and executive produced
by Kari Lizer (“Will and Grace”), “The New Adventures of Old Christine”
reunites Louis-Dreyfus with “Seinfeld” director/producer Andy Ackerman,
who executive produces “Old Christine” and also directs the series, from
Kari’s Logo Here in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Her other television credits include multiple appearances on “Seinfeld”
co-creator Larry David’s HBO show “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” a recurring
role on Matt Groening’s “The Simpsons” on FOX, a recurring role in 2003
on FOX’s critically acclaimed “Arrested Development,” NBC’s 2002
real-time sitcom “Watching Ellie,” and the TNT animated film “Animal
Farm,” to which she lent her voice alongside Ian Holm, Kelsey Grammer
and Patrick Stewart. Louis-Dreyfus first made her mark on television
during a three-year stint (1982-1985) on “Saturday Night Live” opposite
the likes of Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest and Eddie Murphy. She
subsequently hosted the show twice, becoming the first female former
cast member to return as host. Feature film credits include

Award®–winning “Hannah and Her Sisters,” with Mia Farrow and Michael
Caine; Allen’s “Deconstructing Harry,” with Judy Davis; Rob Reiner’s
