Judd Apatow, best known for producing a string of hits including "The 40-Year-Old Virgin", "Knocked Up" and "Superbad", was honored along with his wife, Actress Leslie Mann, on Monday, October 26 2009 at the Beverly Hills Hotel during the Fulfillment Fund's annual Stars 2009 Benefit Gala. Both Apatow and Mann are being recognized for having demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy through their support of organizations for the homeless and 826 LA, a writing and tutoring center for disadvantaged youth. The Fulfillment Fund was founded in 1977 and is dedicated to providing economically disadvantaged students with the resources, tools and skills needed to graduate from high school and obtain an advanced education. The Fulfillment Fund's programs provide total enrichment through mentoring, classroom-based outreach, college counseling, college scholarships, internships, career counseling parent education.
