Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page hit the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Ca on Tuesday September 29, 2009. The event was in connection with Fox Searchlight's release of the '70s roller derby chick flick "Whip it" and to celebrate Drew Barrymore's directorial debut.

"Whip It" is about an indie-rock loving teenage misfit (Ellen Page), in Bodeen, Texas, that finds a way of dealing with her small-town misery after she stumbles upon an all girl a roller derby league in nearby Austin.

Also on hand at the event were Justin Long, Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis, Eve, Kate Beckinsale, Olivia Wilde, Quentin Tarantino, Jackson Browne and Serena Williams among others. (© 2009 Joe Martinez/PictureLux)
