Tom Bosley, best known as "Mr. C" (Howard Cunningham) on the Television show, "Happy Days," has died early Tuesday morning October 19, 2010 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, near Palm Springs, after a brief battle with lung cancer, said Grey Munford, a CBS representative.
He made his film debut in 1963, but it was television that gave him his most well known role that of patriarch of a 1950s "Happy Days" family, a show that aired for 11 seasons starting in 1974.
His most recent credit came on the big screen alongisde Jennifer Lopez in the 2010 film “The Back-Up Plan.”
Bosley is survived by his wife, Patricia Carr, and daughter Amy Bosley.
Services for the star will be held on Friday morning in Los Angeles

Along with Henry Winkler, he is one of only two actors to appear in every episode of "Happy Days" (1974).
