Brittany Murphy, who came to prominence as "Tai" in the 1995 sleeper hit "Clueless", died Sunday December 20th at age 32. According to the Associated Press, Ms. Murphy was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, hospital after reportedly going into cardiac arrest at her home in West Hollywood. Spokeswoman Sally Stewart would not provide a cause of death or any other information. Online gossip site TMZ said her mother, Sharon, discovered Murphy unconscious in the shower. The Los Angeles Fire Department said it responded to an emergency call about 8 a.m. PST Murphy landed her first job in
Hollywood when she was 14, starring as Brenda Drexell in the series
"Drexell's Class". She then went on to play Molly Morgan in the
short-lived "The Torkelsons" spinoff "Almost Home". Murphy also
guest-starred on several television series including "Parker Lewis
Can't Lose", "Blossom", and "Frasierv. She also had recurring roles on
"Sister, Sister", "Party of Five" and "Boy Meets World". In 1997, she
began voicing the character of Luanne Platter (as well as the younger
version of Joseph Gribble) on the long-running animated series "King of
